Submission of sequence to GenBank

-- Open website: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=Nucleotide

-- Click “submit to GenBank” in the bottom of left side.

-- Click “BankIt For quick and simple submissions” on the right side. “http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/BankIt/nph-bankit.cgi” is opened.

-- Enter the size of sequence into blank, and click “New” button under “BankIt: GenBank Submissions by WWW” in the middle of this page.

-- Fill in the form following further instructions.

    * enter “Uncultured Bacterium clone Lhy31 16S ribosomal RNA gene, partial sequence” into box “Sequence Summary/Definition Information”, and “uncultured bacterium, Bacteria; environmental samples” into box “organism name”.

    #If you do not receive one of these from us by e-mail within the time frame indicated, please send an inquiry to gb-admin@ncbi.nlm.nih.gov and include your BankIt number and the E-mail address(hongyu.zhang@mail.hzau.edu.cn) used in your BankIt submission.

    When: give you “WARNING: Our taxonomy database does not yet include [uncultured bacterium Bacteria; environmental samples]. Please verify that the spelling is correct (make changes by going back to the previous screen). If the sequence is from a newly described organism, please provide us with a short note about its classification. Then press the "Validate and Continue" button at the Bottom to proceed.” Just press the "Validate and Continue" button at the Bottom again to continue.
